Teen bails out as car hits church
A 17-year-old Aurora man is facing felony charges after he bailed out of a moving car, which then hit a church, Aurora police said.
Roosevelt Yankaway, of the 1200 block of Nantucket Drive, was charged with felony criminal damage to property and misdemeanor obstructing a peace officer, the Kane County state's attorney's office said.
According to Aurora police, officers saw Yankaway drive through a parking lot at 5:18 p.m. Monday. The officers turned on their lights and began to follow him, police said.
Yankaway bailed out of the car in the 300 block of South Lake Street while it was still moving, police said. The car kept rolling and hit the garage of a church, causing $10,200 in damage, police said.

• Anthony Kostrzewa, 20, of the 2S800 block of Meadowview Road, Batavia, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance after he was found with less than 15 grams of cocaine Monday, the Kane County state's attorney's office said.
• About $1,013 in damage was done when someone scratched a Mercedes Benz parked in the 100 block of Calhoun Street between 1 and 10 p.m. Oct. 28, Aurora police said Tuesday.
Yorkville
• Two cameras worth $1,950 were stolen from a car in the 2000 block of Ingemunson Street on Oct. 22, Yorkville police said Tuesday.
