Kane County ::
Saturday, November 7, 2009
Arlene Shoemaker's second stint on the Kane County Board will soon come to an end, but this fan of the forest preserves plans to continue her work.

More details: The Kane County Health Department announced Friday an Elgin woman has died of H1N1 flu complications.

Counselors were available Friday afternoon for students and staff trying to cope with news of the death of a Geneva High School freshman. Michael Kimmer, 15, died about noon Friday.

Whatever Kane County ends up paying to buy the former Montgomery Ward building on Randall Road in St. Charles, tack on at least another $226,000 in legal fees.
