Lauzen: In favor of free trade “when it’s fair”; believes a free and open trading market is harmful to Americans and sends jobs overseas; believes countries like China offer unfair competition to Americans.

Oberweis: Favors free and open markets; believes fair trade benefits both countries; calls selective trade policies “protectionism.”

Dilger: Believes the opposite of free trade is a more protectionist environment, which led to World Wars I and II; criticizes the labor standards in the United States.
