Auroran helps with 'Extreme Makeover'

November 14, 2009

Lindsay Janssen of Aurora will be among the many volunteers seen working on TV's "Extreme Makeover" Sunday night.

Janssen, 24, is a 2007 Aurora University grad and an AU graduate financial aid counselor. She volunteered Sept. 12 and 13 in Lena, Ill., on a home renovation project. She joined about 1,500 other volunteers who helped raise the roof for the Phillip and Joey Stott family.

"The family's story is incredibly touching and the house is stunning," Janssen said in a press release from Aurora University. "It is truly amazing how much can be accomplished in just seven days with the help and support of an entire community."

"Extreme Makeover" is broadcast at 7 p.m. Sunday on ABC.
