Jet ride highlights auction at Nov. 7 benefit

November 3, 2009

SANDWICH -- A private jet ride for up to five passengers to view the skyline of Chicago, or a two-hour flight on the aircraft, will be auctioned at the 17th annual dinner, dance and auction held at 6 p.m. Nov. 7 in the Fox Valley Community Center, 1406 Suydam Road, Sandwich.

Fox Valley Older Adult Services will benefit from the event.

The certificate states that up to five passengers will be taken on a two-hour flight in a new 2008 Cessna Citation Mustang. The estimated cost for this type of flight is $2,000, according to the contributors, Doug Worsley and Will Davis, the Gary Jet Center owner.

Persons with the winning auction bid can also use the certificate against a quoted charter to a destination outside Chicagoland, with Gary Jet Center, Inc. giving a $2,000 credit toward the charter.

A cash bar and silent auction of donated items starts at 6 p.m., followed by appetizers, dinner and dessert catered by Celebrations 150 of Utica. The live auction and dancing will follow. The dinner includes one complimentary drink per ticket holder.

Tickets are $50 per person. Table sponsorship without tickets is $250; and table sponsorship with 10 tickets is $450. Prepayment is accepted by check, Mastercard or Visa.
