Driver in critical condition after Sugar Grove crash

November 2, 2009

A 37-year-old Dixon man is in critical condition after a Sunday night crash in Sugar Grove.

Bert Olson, 300 block of North Ottawa Avenue, was listed in critical condition at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove Monday morning, Sugar Grove police said.

According to police, at 11 p.m. Sunday, a motorist reported seeing a pickup truck that had rolled over. Olson was found in the grass, about 100 feet west of the truck, police said. He had apparently been ejected when the truck rolled. Police believe he was not wearing his seatbelt.

No one else was in the truck at the time of the crash, police said. The crash was still under investigation Monday morning.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or have information is asked to contact the Sugar Grove Police Department at 630-466-4526, ext. 37.
