Fox Valley Park District offers deals for veterans

AURORA -- The Fox Valley Park District has proclaimed November "Veterans Recognition Month" and will pay homage with special promotions, deals and discounts for veterans throughout the month.

The Park District will offer free admittance for veterans, their spouses and their children to any of the district's three fitness centers -- Eola Community Center at 555 S. Eola Road, Prisco Community Center at 150 W. Illinois Ave. and Vaughan Athletic Center at 2121 W. Indian Trail.

In addition, the district is holding a pair of free Family Fun Nights in the E-Fit interactive fitness room at the Eola Center. Veterans and families can enjoy free use from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 11 and from noon to 2 p.m. on Nov. 15.

Veterans and their families also can enjoy 10 percent discounts off their entire food bill at Orchard Valley Restaurant throughout the month.

The offers also apply to members of the National Guard and Reserves. Veterans and active members of the military need to show a valid military ID card.
