Subdivision plan approved

SANDWICH -- The public improvements in Fieldcrest Subdivision were accepted by the Sandwich City Council at this week's meeting.
The 15-acre subdivision of 33 lots is just west of Latham Street and north of Knights Road on the city's northeast side.
Letters of credit and other means of guarantee were given to the city to assure there are no hidden defects, cover any other problems and to assure the street work is completed to the city's specifications.
The council's Committee of the Whole will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the City Hall annex.
The next regular meeting of the council will be at 7 p.m. Nov. 9 in the annex. An ordinance for a water rate increase, which would take effect March 2, 2010, will be on the agenda.
