Yorkville

'Homes for the Holidays'

Join Travel Services of Yorkville this holiday season as the staff collects gently used or new dog items for the Eye on the Sparrow Dog Rescue Group of Yorkville. The rescue group is in need of any items for dogs that may be donated, such as leashes, harnesses, leads, bowls, collars, toys, treats, dog beds, crates or baby gates no longer being used, grooming supplies and more. Items may be dropped to Travel Services of Yorkville at 801 N Bridge St., Route 47 in Yorkville. Call 630 553-7200 or visit Eyeonthesparrow.webs.com for more information.

The group's goal this season also is to find "Homes for the Holidays" for all their dogs. An adoption event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Walgreens on Route 47 and Route 71.
