'Reverse Mortgages'
For many seniors, a reverse mortgage is their saving grace. Reverse mortgages allow older adults to convert their home equity into cash while retaining their home ownership. People use this type of loan to help pay for medical treatment, finance home improvements, buy long-term care insurance, or supplement their monthly or yearly income. University of Illinois Extension is sponsoring "Reverse Mortgage: Is This the Answer to Solve Your Financial Challenges?" Susan Taylor, University of Illinois Extension Consumer and Family Economics Educator, will be presenting this program, set for 1 p.m. Nov. 9 at the Kendall County Extension Office, 7775B Route 47 in Yorkville. Call 630-553-5823 to pre-register for the program by Friday.
