Halloween Party
Bionic Temple, 1296 Daughters of Elks, is sponsoring a Children's Halloween Party for kids ages 1 through 12 from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Daughters of Elks, 59 S. LaSalle St., UpStairs. The party includes games, prizes, refreshments and candy treats.
Pancake breakfast
Aurora's Noon Lions club will hold a third annual Great Pumpkin pancake breakfast from 7:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday. The fundraiser to benefit Lions charities is at Luigi's Pizza and Fun Center, 732 Prairie St. The menu includes unlimited pancakes with sausage, mini donuts and milk, cider, coffee or orange juice. Children are invited to attend in Halloween costumes and to have free color photographs taken with a Great Pumpkin background. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for children ages 3 to 12, and $15 for a family. Tickets are available from Lions members and at the door. Admission is discounted $1 per person from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Proceeds benefit the hearing and visually impaired. Call 630-921-1307.

Halloween Party
The Kaneville Public Library will host a Halloween Party for area kids ages 4 to 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Library, 2S101 Harter Road. Halloween mixer
Yorkville's Young Professional Network will be hosting a Halloween-themed mixer, "Getting To Know Boo" from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. today. The networking event will take place at Kendall Pub, 209 S. Batfest
The free family festival is on the Riverwalk and around downtown starting at 10 a.m. Saturday. The Legend of Sleepy Hollow
The Headless Horseman rides again in this family friendly adaptation of Washington Irving's classic tale. "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow." Presented as part of Batavia's BatFest celebration, the show is rated PG and will be shown on Friday and Saturday. The Albright Theatre is above the Government Center, 100 N. Halloween Hayday The Park District hosts its annual Halloween Hayday Event from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Stephen D. Persinger Recreation Center. Judging night, the best night to see all the "spooktacular" Halloween action, will be from dusk to 10 p.m. tonight. Award categories include: Best Rookie, Big Scare-Low Budget, Best Actors, Judges' Favorite, Best Special Effects and Family Fun.
