Oswegoan appears in dance project
Brady Sanders, a graduate of Oswego High School and five-year member of The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps, will be performing this weekend with Inaside Dance Chicago at the Ruth Page Center for the Performing Arts.
Choreography for The Inaside Dance Project draws upon the work of the American painter Jackson Pollock, a commanding figure of the Abstract Expressionist movement.
Brady launched his professional performance career with Inaside Dance Chicago in 2006 where he has performed works by award winning choreographer Nick Pupillo and Inaside choreographers Kelly Vitacca, Dance Chicago 2005 Outstanding Choreography Award, and Amanda Farrar. Guest choreographer Lizzie MacKenzie, of River North Chicago Dance, will be debuting a new piece inspired by Pollock's painting.
Blending jazz and modern dance, Inaside Dance presents inspiring new perceptions of movement. Brady believes that "In today's fast-paced, often impersonal world, it is the artist that will keep us in touch with our humanity."
The show will be at 8 p.m. Friday and 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday at the Ruth Page Center for the Performing Arts, 1016 N. Dearborn Parkway, Chicago.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for student, dancer or senior. To purchase tickets call the Ruth Page Box Office (312) 337-6543 or visit www.ruthpage.org
