Re/Max of Naperville introduces VoicePad

July 3, 2009

Driving around looking at properties, it's not uncommon for house hunters to stumble across a listing they know nothing about, except that the yard sign announces it's for sale.

Re/Max of Naperville has a new technology called VoicePad that provides free basic information about any property in the Midwest Real Estate Data LLC database, formerly known as the Multiple Listing Service.

Buyers call 630-964-4000 to inquire about any listed home, any realty company. Anyone can call and get property information on every listed home without having to call multiple agents. This way the buyer isn't disturbed by 10 different agents trying to get their business. The buyer also has the option of pressing No. 1 on their phones to connect to an agent for additional information, or simply have a text message sent to their cell phone or smart phone with the listing information.

A woman's voice will ask the caller to choose between all the area listings with that address number. Then the voice on the other end will provide the caller with details of the property for sale including the number of bedrooms and baths, the listing price and other interior and exterior features of the home, like whether the basement is finished. Callers can continue pressing buttons to find out estimated monthly mortgage payments, to have additional information texted to their phones or to be connected to a sales agent.

When the buyer gets home, they will have each property e-mailed to them.

For more information, call Cathy Dulberg at 630-753-1300.
