Townhomes a great buy at Cambridge Lakes

June 14, 2009

If you are looking for a great deal on attached housing, look no further than Cambridge Lakes in Pingree Grove.

The Realtors at Prudential Starck in Elgin are planning a plethora of open houses in this development today, where new and resale townhomes, duplexes and condos will be on display.

Broker/manager Mary Roberts said the community offers amazing amenities for buyers, with a top-quality sports facility that includes baseball diamonds, an activity and fitness center, and a community pool.

She said there is a newly built charter school within the facility as well as busing service to Community Unit District 300 public schools in Hampshire and St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School as well.

"This is a very family-centered community. You see people walking with strollers, children on bikes, and kids playing all over the place," Roberts said. "Cambridge Lakes is one of the most family-oriented developments, and everything is kept so nice."

Roberts said the number of attached houses in the development make it easy for buyers to find the sort of homes they are seeking. From quad units and three-story townhomes to condos and attached ranch models, the homes were built with many different options to please many different palates.

Attached-home prices begin at $147,000 for the smallest "Hummingbird" model and move up to $236,000 for a spacious two-story townhome. Roberts said the average list price for the attached dwellings is about $175,000 to $185,000 with two or three bedrooms or a loft.

Roberts said the best way to locate the attached housing in the development is to enter via the Reinking Road entrance and take Sheffield Road, which leads to the townhomes. Also, people can contact her for more information about the homes specifically by calling the office at 847-931-4663.
