Spacious family home loaded with upgrades, potential

June 7, 2009

This two-story home in Moose Lakes Estates in North Aurora has what every family wants: room for now, room for the future, and all wrapped in upgraded style and amenities.

For example, the home offers a large kitchen with both breakfast bar and breakfast table area, a full basement with rough-in plumbing for an additional bath, both sun room and paver brick patio, and a first-floor den that could also be an office or a fifth bedroom.

One of the visual and comfort-living highlights is the family room, which features a cathedral ceiling, floor-to-ceiling windows flanking a brick fireplace and special window treatments. (The home also has a 15-by-11-foot living room and a 14-by-12-foot formal dining room.) Another highlight is the master bedroom suite, spacious at 20-by-15 feet with sitting room, which also features a master bath with double sink, separate shower and whirlpool tub.

Throughout the home are upgrades and comfort/convenience amenities, such as granite kitchen countertops, hardwood flooring or carpeting, vaulted ceilings, rounded corners, window treatments, kitchen pantry closet, mud room, central air conditioning, first-floor laundry, and tandem 3-car garage.

Moose Lake Estates, with services through a homeowners' association, is more than 133 acres with close to 18 acres of open space, two ponds and an on-site park.

It is not far from the Randall and Orchard roads commercial corridors, Route 31, the Fox River and North Aurora's Island and Shoreline parks. Also in the area are Valley Green and Fox Valley golf courses, Red Oak nature center, and the Route 31/Interstate 88 interchange.

Children in the home would attend West Aurora schools.
