Biz Buzz: Chiro One food drive

Chiro One Wellness Centers are hosting their fourth annual Share the Abundance Food Drive to collect nonperishable food items to be given to the Greater Chicago Food Depository. From Nov. 2 through Nov. 23, donations of nonperishable food items will be accepted at local Chiro One Wellness Centers. Area centers include Chiro One of North Aurora, 110 Hansen Blvd., 630-701-1450; Chiro One of Yorkville, 942 N. Bridge St., 630-553-8380; and Chiro One of St. Charles, 546-F S. Randall Road, 630-443-0400. Suggested items include canned foods, dried foods, boxed food or food, such as peanut butter, in plastic containers. Travel Services of Yorkville and Princess Cruise Lines will offer "Alaska Night" at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Travel Services, 801 N. Bridge St. This free event will include a presentation by Princess Cruise Line on touring Alaska by ship and land. Seating is limited. RSVP at 630 553-7200 or info@travelservicesofyorkville.com. Comcast is accepting nominations from high school principals and guidance counselors to nominate their high school seniors who have a grade point average of 2.8 or higher for the 2010 Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program. These $1,000 scholarships are awarded annually to students who have met the qualifications. Home-schooled seniors also are eligible for this program. The deadline for nominations is Dec. 11.
