Even though the minor league baseball season has been over for weeks, the Kane County Cougars are hoping that their new Upper Deck facilities will keep Elfstrom Stadium hopping even during the off-season. More details: The Kane County Health Department announced Friday an Elgin woman has died of H1N1 flu complications.

Whatever Kane County ends up paying to buy the former Montgomery Ward building on Randall Road in St. Charles, tack on at least another $226,000 in legal fees.
