Harry Potter's sport of choice, Quidditch, is taking flight at Northwestern University. The game, which traditionally features wizards flying around on brooms, has been adapted into an earthbound college sport, known as Muggle Quidditch.

Every time the Lakes Eagles went to war on the gridiron this season, they had a weapon in their arsenal no other area team possessed. Junior Mike Beckman, who shattered a single-season Lake County record by kicking 13 field goals this year, gave coach Luke Mertens and his charges a leg up on the competition with his ability to put the ball through the uprights. The previous record for Lake County was seven, set in 2007.

Kurt Warner envisioned doing this on a regular basis at Soldier Field. Good thing for the Arizona Cardinals, the Chicago Bears took a pass on him. One week after throwing five interceptions, Warner tied a career high by throwing five touchdown passes while Larry Fitzgerald added 123 yards receiving to lead the Arizona Cardinals to an easy 41-21 win over the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
Elmo teaches kids swine flu's nothing to sneeze at

Mention swine flu to a young child, and odds are pretty good you'll get a blank stare. But an increasing number of kids can tell you that the Sesame Street character "Elmo" sneezes properly into the crook of his arm, and if they sing the whole "ABCs" song while washing their hands they'll get them really clean. They're also well acquainted with hand sanitizer, anti-bacterial wipes -- and their germ-fighting abilities.

Ciao, Bella: 'New Moon' stars talk about breakup

"I know what it's like to be broken up with in real life," Kristen Stewart says. "I don't know what it's like to be broken up by with a vampire." Ah, the perils of having a significant other who's a glowing immortal hunk ... and a protective one. In the "Twilight" sequel "New Moon," out Nov. 20, teenage Bella (Stewart) is dumped by her vampire love Edward (Robert Pattinson). You know how it goes: I love you, but I'm a vampire and it's really not safe for us to date anymore because members of my family want to eat you, so I'm going to disappear.
