Joliet Junior Women’s Club and Billie Limacher Bicentennial Park are hosting Halloween-themed contests for our young readers.

Here’s your chance to have your ghoulishly masterful drawing on the front of hundreds of t-shirts for the Joliet Junior Women’s Club’s 11th annual Halloween Fun Fair & Family Expo.  Simply draw a picture on this year’s “green” theme: “Scary witches may be mean, but to brew their potions, they must go green!”  The winner will also receive a complimentary t-shirt with his/her design.

The Halloween Expo will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 19, 2008, at the Joliet Park District multi-purpose center.  

Billie Limacher Bicentennial Park will host its annual Pumpkin Fest Oct. 3, 4 and 5. Draw a picture on a spooky Halloween theme. Three winners will be eligible for four hot dogs and four sodas during the fest. Winners and other entrants will be displayed at the park during the fest.
