Alligator found in Plainfield
A 3-foot American alligator was discovered this past week at the Lake Renwick Heron Rookery Nature Preserve in Plainfield. Will County Forest District staff captured the reptile, they dubbed Annabelle, and gave her to the Chicago Herpetological Society. Herald News photographer Steven Buyansky was there and produced this video.

The women of Wisteria Lane may have only a few more years to resolve their assorted problems. "Desperate Housewives" creator and executive producer Marc Cherry told a meeting of the Television Critics Association on Thursday that he plans to end the ABC series after seven seasons.
