"I worked with one kid whose parents had died and he turned to food for comfort," said Chris Stahl, assistant professor of pediatrics at University of Illinois Medical Center.

Wie error, big consequences
Some have already suggested that LPGA officials should have let the fact that Michelle Wie forgot to sign her scorecard slide and not disqualified her. The justification being that there would be a huge amount of interest if Wie were in the field Sunday competing for her first LPGA Tour victory.

Breast exams: Helpful or not?
At first, Cyndi Chivari ignored the pain in her breast and a slight change in its shape. It was the spring of 2006 and the Montgomery woman was only 31, too young, she thought, for breast cancer. When the pain continued and Chivari felt a lump, she made a doctor's appointment, her family's long history of cancer flooding her thoughts.

'One small step ...'
On July 20, 1969, Gary Burns got an unexpected day off from his job at the Baskin-Robbins ice cream store on Larkin Avenue in Elgin. "My boss closed the store. Seniors have a ball, stay in shape
Who would have thought the simple act of rolling a ball toward a smaller ball would be fun and part of a low-key fitness program? Talk to any of the players on the local, national and international scene about why they're having a ball playing boccie and many say it's easy, it's fun and it's great exercise.
